I've been a member my whole life and have been through this ceremony many times. I've yet to understand the symbolism of the signs and tokens. However, I do see similar things when I look into the freemason handbooks. Is Brigham's affiliation with freemasonry the reason he put them into this ordinance? Is freemasonry a good organization? I highly doubt that my church leaders are 1- knowledgeable enough to know how to answer this question, 2- not going to judge me for having such a "faithless" question, and 3- not going to tell me to simply forget about it. I've heard that everything in the temple is symbolic of Jesus Christ, so maybe some day everything in this ritual will make sense.

I guess critical thinking goes out the window, when group think takes over. Why are they wearing the robes of Satan? This is really confusing .. Adam is god is Elohim is Michael. How did god tell himself to make a planet? Why are they being cleansed from the sins of this generation? Odd ceremony indeed.

This is an important piece of documentation on the practices and beliefs of the Mormon church and the LDS. Nothing is out of context, it has not been skewed. It is nothing more than a play-by-play of what happens inside the cult-like minds of the LDS leaders and lifts the veil of secrecy from around the inner-teachings of the Mormon Church. Whether or not you find it objectionable, religious leaders should know that eventually their techniques will come out to the public. I would love some higher audio levels, or transcripts.

Isn't it interesting how Satan is portrayed in the video presentations - in fact it is the most accurate portrayal of the monster that I've seen - this video really enlightened me on so many things - what i don't understand though is how Adam could shake the hand of Peter who is suppose to be a disembodied spirit - this video really reveals the reverence that latter-days have for deity and how serious the road is - can anyone watch it and doubt that they serously believe in god.

I am an active LDS church member, I love the temple. It is a place of peace and blessings. so the film was made deceitfully, dishonestly and with bad motives. One thing you will have learned if you listened, was that "God will not be mocked". Our film Maker will eventually have to account for what he has done, which is mocking sacred things. maybe not in this life, but he will. I have friends who belong to other faiths which seem to have perculiar rituals but we do not mock them, let each follow his own chosen path in peace.

Only a member who is worthy to go to the temple can possibly understand what it is really about. To me, it's like sneaking into someone's home and video taping the sex between a husband and a wife, it is toooo private to be exposed to the world. I feel sorry for the person who taped it and sent it to 'archive'. He will face his Father in Heaven and his Savior one day. I'd hate to be him when that happens. Please, do not let people see this or ridicule it. It is too sacred. You don't understand why it is to be private.

This is a brilliant work that is long overdue. Most religions proudly document their own rituals and beliefs and put them on public display with a sense of pride. The LDS has been a holdout insisting that what happens inside the temple is only meant to be seen by LDS members in good standing (have a temple recommend) and is never to be discussed with outsiders.

This video was submitted by someone using the nom de plume "Joseph Smith," but the producer of the video is actually "newnamenoah," who (as identified in numerous threads on message boards, where he has bragged about his videos and has opened himself up to scrutiny) is really Michael Norton (nortinski/Noah Buildaboat) of South Ogden, Utah, was recorded in secret in an LDS temple. He obviously wants to be very well known, so I am assisting in that, since he, in my opinion, shamelessly promotes his efforts all over the Internet.

Norton appears to have videotaped people in the LDS temple without their consent, and in prior videos, has recorded minors doing temple ordinances, a video which he proudly boasts on another site. Based on available information, he did not gain consent from each and everyone of the minors and their parents.

In this video, he appears to be carrying on the tradition of secretly recording, and it's sad that he appears to have no respect for the temple.
